Incoloy 800H all-thread bar is continuous-thread bar stock supplied in 1-metre, 2-metre or 3-metre lengths for field cut-to-length applications on hot-zone hanger, support and tensile-link assemblies to 815 deg C (1500 deg F). All-thread bar is functionally equivalent to threaded rod but is supplied in stock-length pieces rather than cut to specific job-length, allowing field cutting and assembly on multiple support brackets from a single bar. TorqBolt manufactures all-thread bar from ASTM B408 round bar in diameter range M12 to M48 (metric) and 1/2 inch to 1-7/8 inch (inch) with thread class 6g per ISO 965 (metric) or class 2A per ASME B1.1 (inch). Both ends carry controlled chamfer for nut start. Every all-thread bar ships with EN 10204 type 3.1 mill test certificate covering heat number, ASTM B408 chemistry, solution-anneal cycle and ASTM grain size 5 verification, with heat-number stamped on one end of each bar segment for traceability preservation through field cuts.
| Size designation | Across flats / OD | Head / nut height | Thread pitch | Standard reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M12 | 12.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 1.75 mm (13 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M16 | 16.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 2.0 mm (11 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M20 | 20.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 2.5 mm (10 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M24 | 24.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 3.0 mm (9 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M30 | 30.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 3.5 mm (8 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M36 | 36.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 4.0 mm (7 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M42 | 42.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 4.5 mm (6 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
| M48 | 48.0 mm OD | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | 5.0 mm (5.5 tpi UNC) | ASME B1.1 / ISO 965 |
All-thread bar manufacture is identical to threaded rod, supplied in stock lengths rather than cut-to-job-length:
| Diameter range | Length range | Stock status | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| M12 - M20 | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | Stock + ex-stock | 7 working days |
| M24 - M30 | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | Made-to-order from stock bar | 10 to 14 working days |
| M36 - M42 | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | Made-to-order from stock bar | 14 to 21 working days |
| M48 | 1m / 2m / 3m stock length | Made-to-order, large bar | 3 to 5 weeks |
All-thread bar specific inspections cover end-to-end thread continuity, heat-number stamping at controlled intervals and straightness:
All-thread bar is specified for field cut-to-length applications and stock-room standardization on hot-zone hanger and support construction:
Q. What is the difference between all-thread bar and threaded rod?
Functionally identical (both are continuous-thread bar stock). The trade convention is: threaded rod is cut-to-length on the supplier side per job line item; all-thread bar is supplied in stock lengths (1m, 2m, 3m) for field cut-to-length. TorqBolt offers both.
Q. How is heat-number traceability preserved when cut in the field?
Heat number is stamped at controlled intervals (every 500 mm) along the bar. After field cut, the remaining segment carries the heat-number stamp within 500 mm; the offcut also carries the next downstream stamp. Field cuts do not invalidate the heat certificate provided the heat number is preserved on the installed segment.
Q. Are inch sizes available?
Yes. Inch sizes 1/2 inch through 1-7/8 inch with class 2A UNC threads per ASME B1.1 are machined on PO call-out.
Q. What is the longest stock length supplied?
Standard supply is 3 metres maximum. Bundle packing accommodates 6-bar bundles for shop logistics. Longer custom lengths are quoted on PO call-out.
Q. Does the EN 10204 certificate cover the full stock length?
Yes. One certificate covers the full bar segment as supplied. After field cut, the certificate remains valid for the installed segment; the offcut should be tagged with the heat number to retain traceability.
